Nyack Nourishes![]() Nyack Nourishes’ mission is to provide meals for the healthcare heroes working at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and the Nyack Community Ambulance Corps during the Covid 19 crisis while supporting local Nyack restaurants in need.
Nyack Nourishes realizes that our community is more than just a group of people living in a town along the Hudson. Our community is a group of people who know that they can lean on each other when times are tough. No one in our community needs more support and nourishment at this moment than the healthcare workers on the front line and our small businesses. Many of our friends, neighbors and family members make up those medical workers at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and the Nyack Community Ambulance Corps who are putting their lives at risk in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak. They are working extra shifts and long days to focus on caring for those in our community – rarely stopping to eat or think about a meal.
Nyack Nourishes and local Nyack restaurants want to help them fight on!
Please continue to spread the word and check back to this page for updates. Feel free to contact Annie Hekker Weiss, Susan Wilmink or Jen Knecht if you have any questions.
Thank you for the generous donations! In the fortunate event that we get beyond this crisis and have additional funds remaining, we will evenly distribute those donations among the participating restaurants to use for a celebration with the hospital, EMTs and the community at large. Stay tuned! Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time. Participating restaurants include:
Greek-ish (aka 8 North) Casa del Sol Didier Dumas Hudson Market Karenderya Maura’s Kitchen Mumbai Dreams The Olde Village Inne Strawberry Place Thai House We can only accommodate ten restaurants at this time but we know that many amazing restaurants in Nyack are rolling up their sleeves to feed healthcare workers and they need your help as well.
If you don't see your favorite Nyack restaurant listed, please contact them directly and we can assist them with the guidelines needed to serve individual bulk meals to the hospital and EMT workers. |
